About Me

When I think about what inspires me to paint, it's the interaction between nature, light and colour: the stare of a fox stopped in its tracks, the cool light of a bluebell wood, ox-eye daisies luminous in evening sunlight. I try to capture these moments, the light and the shadows, through the colour-rich medium of oil paint.
I paint a lot of pet portraits and always feel privileged to paint a dog or cat that's been part of someone's life for years. If you’re interested in commissioning one, have a look at my Pet Portraits page and drop me a line.
Originally from Ireland, I live in Kent with my family and two adopted dogs.
I have a degree in Natural Science, Zoology.
